Edinburgh Weather: Snow forecast this week after a sunny month
Edinburgh has seen weeks of relatively good weather, with the city enjoying clear skies and warm temperatures lately.
However, this week should bring a return to the more wintery conditions of the start of the year.
According to BBC Weather, it will be a gray and cold start to the week, with temperatures Monday and Tuesday hovering between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius.

On Wednesday, the forecaster predicts things will get even colder – with lows of -2C and “snow showers” expected throughout the day.
The snow is expected to fall for the first time around 7am in the middle of sunny spells, but will stop at 9am, after which Edinburgh will see a relatively bright and sunny morning.
After a brief spell of clear skies at 1 p.m., with temperatures peaking at 6C, hailstorms are expected to fall on the city for much of the rest of the afternoon and into the early evening.

Around 8 p.m., the hail is expected to change to sleet briefly, after which it will turn to snow until midnight, when the mercury will drop to 0°C.
During the night, temperatures will drop to -1°C, but the sky will be dry and relatively clear.
Thursday looks to be a slightly warmer and brighter day in the capital, with highs of 7C and no snow forecast by BBC Weather.
There will however be an extended period of hailstorms between 3pm and 8pm, and after that temperatures will drop to -2°C overnight.
Friday is expected to improve further, with sunny spells forecast all day and highs approaching 10C again – a trend that will continue through a cloudy but mild weekend.
